"Scales of Sound"

copper fabric speaker

This lasercut conductive fabric snake becomes a speaker when connected to an amplifier and placed in the proximity of a magnetic source which amplifies the vibrations, generating music.

The snake is carefully designed to avoid any short: the drawing is in fact composed by a unique continuous line whose extremes are the edges of the snake's tongue, where ground and power are connected to. We could interpret it as two lines connected in the center, where the snake tail's is. It is very important for the speaker to work and to avoid shorts that the two lines don't touch each other in any point apart from the tail itself.
